Senior Consultant - Internal Audit (Arabic Speaking)

About the role

Grant Thornton UAE is hiring a Senior Consultant for its Business Risk Services, within the Advisory practice that covers strategy, operations, risk and technology. The role leads end-to-end internal audit engagements, from planning and process understanding through fieldwork, reporting and follow-up. Arabic speaking is required.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end internal audit engagements, including planning, process walkthroughs, fieldwork, reporting and follow-up
• Prepare Risk and Control Matrices (RCMs), audit programs, process documentation and working papers
• Perform control design assessments and testing of operating effectiveness, supported by evidence
• Identify control gaps and root causes, and develop practical recommendations
• Draft audit observations and reports covering condition, risk/impact, root cause and recommendation
• Manage the audit against agreed scope, timelines and deliverables, escalating significant issues where appropriate
• Present findings to process owners, agree management actions and timelines, and review follow-up implementation
• Supervise junior team members and support other risk, governance and advisory engagements
• Apply the IIA Global Internal Audit Standards, regulatory requirements and the client's internal audit methodology

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant internal audit experience, preferably in the UAE
• Professional qualification such as CIA, ACCA, CPA or CISA highly preferred
• Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to identify control gaps and recommend improvements
• Stakeholder management and ability to work independently under tight deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word
