Senior Contracts Engineer

About the role

The Senior Contracts Engineer will join NMDC Group’s project team in Abu Dhabi, ensuring commercial resources and contract administration support the successful delivery of construction and marine projects. The role combines technical contract expertise with proactive risk and cash‑flow management.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure commercial resources are sufficient for project delivery and maximize cash flow through timely valuations, invoicing and payments.
• Maintain and manage project risk registers, identifying risks early and implementing contingencies.
• Implement NMDC commercial procedures on site and promote a strong commercial understanding within project teams.
• Oversee procurement of sub‑contractors and manage preparation of variations, claims and disputes.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing, encourage innovative thinking and drive change within the division.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of standard contract forms, particularly FIDIC.
• Familiarity with dredging, marine and civil infrastructure construction.
• Strong negotiation and contract administration capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with multicultural teams and accept constructive feedback.
