Senior Data Engineer - Python

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and solutions for a large semi‑government entity in Dubai. The role is a 12‑month contract within the Data & AI team, reporting to the Associate Director of Data Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and support ETL/ELT pipelines in enterprise environments.
• Develop and maintain dimensional, canonical and product data models.
• Implement Master Data Management practices, including golden records and data quality controls.
• Build scalable data solutions using SQL, Python and Apache Spark for large‑scale processing.
• Establish validation frameworks, performance optimisation and data governance support.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of data engineering experience with enterprise‑grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data modelling and MDM concepts.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience with modern data platforms and cloud‑based ecosystems.
