Senior Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead financial control, accounting, tax, treasury and regulatory reporting for a crypto exchange, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls and effective banking relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual financial close, preparing IFRS‑based financial statements and management accounts.
• Oversee accounting for trading fees, custody fees, digital assets, fiat balances and intercompany transactions.
• Maintain daily reconciliations between trading platforms, customer ledgers, banks and blockchain wallets, establishing controls to separate customer assets from company funds.
• Prepare and submit regulatory returns, monitor capital and liquidity, and support regulator enquiries.
• Manage corporate tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax and coordinate with external advisers.
• Lead banking relationships, cash‑flow forecasting, treasury operations and contingency planning.
• Drive the annual external audit, manage audit queries and present results to senior management.
• Develop the finance team, improve processes, and ensure scalable systems as the business grows.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent) with 7–10 years of finance experience.
• Experience in crypto exchange, fintech, brokerage or other regulated financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial controls and statutory reporting.
• Proven track record managing audits, tax compliance and banking relationships.
• Understanding of digital‑asset transactions, custody and customer asset reconciliations.
