Senior Finance Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Officer to join the finance team at ALHOSN University in Abu Dhabi. The role involves managing core accounting processes, supporting payroll and budgeting, and ensuring accurate financial reporting within an academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Posting of general accounting entries, including debit and credit notes.
• Preparing payments for suppliers, employees, and students.
• Preparing bank reconciliation statements.
• Reconciling various accounts such as debtors, creditors, and related parties.
• Assisting in payroll processing.
• Supporting the Finance Manager with budgets and management information systems.
• Assisting in audit preparation and responding to queries.
• Managing records of vouchers, bills, and other documents.
• Preparing pre‑payments and accruals.
• Performing other general accounting duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting or MBA.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably in an educational environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP accounting solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
