Senior Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will lead technical evaluations of soil and rock conditions, provide design recommendations, and support complex foundation projects for building and infrastructure. This position reports to the BNI Manager/Technical Manager and works closely with internal and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform soil classification, strength and stability analyses, and load‑bearing capacity assessments.
• Deliver third‑party design verification, construction guidance, and design optimisation for foundations and underground works.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and attend client and authority meetings.
• Lead technical investigations such as geophysical surveys, GPR, borehole drilling, laboratory testing, and instrumentation operation.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (post‑graduate preferred) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to conduct independent site investigations, complex soil analyses, and foundation design.
• Experience in client engagement and preparation of technical documentation for tenders.

Required skills

• Soil and rock mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical risk mitigation.
• Finite‑element modelling, AutoCAD, PLAXIS, GIS, and statistical analysis tools.
• Geophysical survey techniques, GPR, borehole investigation, laboratory soil testing, and instrumentation operation.
