Senior Internal Auditor - Support and Subsidiaries

About the role

ADNOC Logistics & Services, the logistics arm of ADNOC Group, is hiring a Senior Internal Auditor for its Support and Subsidiaries division in Abu Dhabi. The role covers end-to-end audit engagements, risk-based planning, reporting to the Audit Committee and supervising junior auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Complete assigned audit engagements from pre-planning to wrap-up, applying risk and control concepts and identifying potential issues
• Assist in periodic risk assessments, fraud risk assessments and the division's risk-based work plans
• Support reporting to the Audit Committee and Senior Management on audit activities, risks, controls and governance issues
• Take part in developing the Annual Audit Plan and identify fraud scenarios and risks
• Carry out performance, operational, technical, compliance, financial, project and investigation audits, and supervise audits in line with the approved Risk & Control Matrix
• Develop detailed audit programs, working papers and follow-up audits of management actions
• Conduct continuous control assurance tests, data analytics and performance maturity assessments
• Support ICOFR implementation, quality assurance programmes and the Audit & Assurance strategic plan
• Maintain timesheets and databases, and produce audit reports using the Audit Management System

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, nautical, logistics, commerce, finance, computer science or a related field; a master's or second bachelor's degree preferred
• 8 years of experience in internal auditing or related fields, including shipping, maritime or logistics, or 8 years in those industries with some internal audit experience, or 8 years in IT with some internal audit exposure
• Knowledge of internal audit standards, regulatory requirements, risk management and internal controls frameworks
• Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, and high-level proficiency in English and/or Arabic
