Senior Maintenance Management System Engineer (MMS)

About the role

Mott MacDonald is hiring a Senior Maintenance Management System (MMS) Engineer in Dubai to lead the implementation, configuration and management of the MMS platform, supporting effective asset lifecycle management. The role ensures accurate asset data structuring, system integration and a smooth digital handover to operations teams, working closely with engineering, construction, testing and commissioning and facility management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation, configuration and deployment of the MMS platform.
• Define asset hierarchy, taxonomy, naming conventions, tagging and coding structures, and create and maintain asset registers covering architectural, MEP and specialist systems.
• Capture, validate and upload asset data, including equipment specifications, warranties, spare parts and maintenance history.
• Integrate MMS with BMS, SCADA and other operational platforms where required.
• Develop preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, configure maintenance plans and support RCM analysis.
• Prepare data templates and standards for digital handover, take part in testing and commissioning, and track defects during commissioning and the defect liability period.
• Develop MMS procedures, user manuals and guidelines, train end users and support audits and acceptance processes.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 55000, coordinate with contractors and consultants, and generate reports and dashboards on asset performance and maintenance activity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• Significant experience in Maintenance Management Systems or Asset Management; infrastructure, building or rail projects preferred.
• Experience in operational or brownfield environments is advantageous.
• Strong coordination, stakeholder management, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with CMMS platforms such as IBM Maximo, SAP PM or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and facility management.
• Familiarity with BIM integration and data environments is a plus.
