Senior Manager Commissioning – Offshore, WHT, Subsea Cable, Piping

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead offshore commissioning activities for wellhead towers, subsea cables, piping systems and brownfield modifications on a major offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all offshore commissioning phases from preparation through hand‑over to operations.
• Develop and implement the commissioning execution strategy and establish priorities based on systemisation and construction completion.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams covering mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, control and subsea cable systems.
• Oversee cable pull‑in, termination, hang‑off and connection activities, ensuring compliance with safety, schedule and HSE requirements.
• Monitor progress, drive recovery actions and ensure adequate resources, tools and specialist personnel are available.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 + years of engineering experience with at least 5‑8 years in offshore project commissioning.
• Proven track record managing multidiscipline offshore commissioning, especially wellhead towers and subsea cable projects.
• Experience with brownfield modifications/tie‑ins and previous work on ADNOC offshore projects is an advantage.
