Senior Manager Financial Intelligence Unit MEA

About the role

Circle is seeking a Senior Manager for its Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) to lead financial crime investigations and intelligence across the UAE and the broader MEA region. You will safeguard the integrity of Circle’s platform by ensuring compliance with AML, sanctions, and related regulations while collaborating with global FIU, compliance, product, and regulatory teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement MEA‑specific compliance frameworks aligned with local regulators (CBUAE, VARA) and global standards.
• Lead comprehensive financial crime risk assessments to identify regional vulnerabilities.
• Provide cross‑functional support for Sanctions, KYC, and Transaction Monitoring initiatives.
• Oversee and conduct complex investigations into suspicious activities, leveraging deep market knowledge.
• Analyze sophisticated transaction data using blockchain analytics tools to detect illicit typologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading financial crime investigations and AML compliance programs.
• Strong knowledge of UAE and MEA regulatory requirements (CBUAE, VARA) and international standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with global and regional stakeholders.
