Senior Manager, Internal Audit - Energy & Utilities

About the role

Protiviti is looking for a Senior Manager for Internal Audit in its Energy & Utilities practice, based in the Dubai or Abu Dhabi office. The role delivers end-to-end client engagements and calls for leadership, team management, business development, client management and project delivery skills. It works with local clients and colleagues across the Middle Region.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the leadership team in building a long-term vision and strategy to grow the business.
• Lead consulting engagements for Energy & Utilities clients across power, water, oil & gas, renewables, transmission and distribution, covering operational excellence, risk management, internal controls, governance, compliance and business transformation.
• Assess and redesign core sector processes such as asset management, maintenance planning, project controls, procurement and contracting, HSE, plant operations, outage management, supply chain, commercial operations, customer service and regulatory reporting.
• Help clients develop target operating models, policies, procedures, SOPs, delegation of authority matrices, performance dashboards and governance frameworks.
• Run maturity assessments, gap assessments, benchmarking studies, control reviews and cost optimization reviews, turning findings into actionable recommendations.
• Manage client budgets, coach and manage resources across a portfolio of clients, and deliver complex client deliverables including executive reports and detailed documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues, and contribute to business development and the promotion of the brand across the region.

Required profile

• Engineer degree plus MBA (preferred).
• 10-15 years of consulting experience, preferably with a technical background and from a Big 4 or equivalent firm.
• Proven track record in the Energy & Utilities domain and exceptional knowledge of sector processes and tools.
• Ability to identify key issues and risks and recommend solutions.
• Flexibility to travel to other locations when required.
