Senior Mechanical Engineer – MEP

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead MEP and HVAC engineering delivery across the full project lifecycle for TAQA‑related oil and gas facilities. You will ensure compliance with scope, quality, schedule and all relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical MEP and HVAC design, review calculations, equipment selection, duct layouts and chilled water piping.
• Coordinate with TAQA representatives, stakeholders and other disciplines (electrical, instrumentation, civil, structural, plumbing, fire protection) for design reviews, approvals and inspections.
• Supervise installation, inspection, testing, pre‑commissioning and commissioning of HVAC systems and related mechanical services.
• Manage technical queries, non‑conformances, corrective actions and design changes, ensuring HSE and QA/QC compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–12 years of mechanical MEP/HVAC experience in industrial construction or energy & utilities projects.
• Mandatory TAQA project experience.
• Strong organizational, multitasking and communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA standards and TAQA project specifications.
• Expertise in ventilation, ductwork, chilled water systems, equipment selection and load calculations.
• Experience with technical submittals, shop drawings, material approvals and vendor documentation.
