Senior Officer Procurement - IT

About the role

The Senior Officer Procurement manages the end-to-end procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle for transactional and tactical procurement requirements, covering the full RFQ process, purchase order management, delivery expediting, payment coordination and dispute resolution. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure timely, compliant and cost-effective procurement of goods, services and works, in line with Abu Dhabi Airports' corporate governance policies.

Key responsibilities

• Review requisitions and coordinate with stakeholders on scope of work, technical criteria and evaluation committee details.
• Conduct market research, prepare tender strategies and bidder lists, issue RFQs and manage supplier proposals.
• Facilitate site visits, support technical and commercial evaluations, negotiate commercial terms and recommend purchase order awards.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, coordinate delivery and facilitate payment processing.
• Manage purchase order variations, resolve supplier claims with Legal and maintain accurate, auditable procurement records.
• Work with end users to set up Framework Agreements for recurring requirements and monitor procurement performance metrics (SLAs, KPIs).
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, conduct performance appraisals of subordinates and identify their training needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement of goods, services and/or works, preferably within a client organization.
• Knowledge of electronic tendering systems and ERP platforms; Microsoft Office 365 proficiency preferred.
• Strong ethics, analytical thinking, financial and commercial acumen, negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
