Senior Pharmacist

About the role

Mediclinic Parkview Hospital in Dubai is recruiting one Senior Pharmacist. The main purpose of the role is to deliver effective and efficient pharmacy services in line with patient safety and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to the pharmacy team
• Ensure effective and efficient dispensing of medication
• Ensure inventory management practices are implemented, monitored and managed, and that stock is managed accordingly
• Ensure compliance with the requirements set by the authorities and the company so that quality and risk mitigation standards are met
• Support the monitoring of the pharmacy budget and finances

Required profile

• B.Pharm degree from an accredited institution and pharmacist licence issued by the relevant UAE healthcare authority
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a pharmacy, including at least 2 years in a hospital environment

Required skills

• Knowledge of the UAE healthcare regulatory framework and its requirements
• Understanding of healthcare industry trends
• Implementation of JCIA standards for pharmacies
• Budgeting and financial management
• Stock management systems and processes
• Verbal and written communication in English
