Senior Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Senior Procurement Specialist leads the supply chain function within the Project Management Team, shaping procurement strategy, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and acting as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Hold responsibility for the Supply Chain function and collaborate with stakeholders to meet project milestones on time and within budget.
• Lead procurement strategy, incorporate contract flow‑down conditions, and develop a Project Procurement execution plan covering purchasing, expediting, logistics and communication.
• Maintain auditable procurement files, ensure adherence to schedule requirements, and oversee project supply chain activities.
• Manage procurement packages, monitor budgets, handle disputes with vendors, and provide independent advice to the Project Management Team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 6‑10 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably with a professional procurement qualification.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage high‑volume procurement packages across multiple projects.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, cost‑control focus, and capability to coach less‑experienced colleagues.

Required skills

• Knowledge of database software such as SPMAT (SharePoint Migration Assessment Tool) or Oracle.
• Proficiency in procurement best practices, contract negotiation, and supply chain management.
