Senior Registered Nurse – Oncology

About the role

The Senior Oncology Nurse will deliver high‑level clinical care to patients receiving outpatient oncology treatments and supportive therapies. Working autonomously, you will apply professional judgement to ensure safe, evidence‑based patient care in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership and guidance to the oncology nursing team.
• Ensure evidence‑based patient care practices align with clinical standards.
• Foster a positive patient experience by developing staff and encouraging team engagement.
• Manage clinical and non‑clinical resources efficiently to support safe patient care.
• Maintain compliance with legislative, regulatory and clinical standards, driving continuous quality improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institute.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in a private hospital or clinic.
• At least 3 years of senior nursing experience with strong expertise in infusion rooms and outpatient departments.
• Demonstrated ability to apply the five stages of the Scientific Nursing Process.

Required skills

• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of JCIA and related governance and regulatory standards.
• Understanding of financial, risk‑management and stock‑control principles in a healthcare setting.
