Senior Relationship Manager – Commercial Banking (Sharjah)

About the role

The Senior Relationship Manager will lead the growth and management of a portfolio of SME and mid‑size corporate clients for United Arab Bank in Sharjah. The role focuses on proactive client engagement, acquisition of new‑to‑bank customers, and delivering a full suite of commercial banking solutions, including lending, deposits, trade finance, and cash management.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new commercial banking clients through targeted business development activities.
• Manage an assigned portfolio of upper‑SME and mid‑size corporate customers across multiple sectors.
• Cross‑sell products such as working capital finance, term loans, trade services, treasury solutions, and digital channels.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, KYC/AML regulations, and internal risk guidelines.
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews to monitor credit quality and profitability.
• Maintain strong client relationships through regular visits and timely service delivery.
• Collaborate with product, credit, and operations teams to ensure seamless service execution.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial banking or related financial services.
• Proven track record in client acquisition and portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of credit risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
