Senior Solutions Engineer (Presales)

About the role

NetApp is looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer who works closely with client sales executives to align NetApp's technical strategy with the customer's long-term vision. You will turn business and IT challenges into differentiated solutions, evaluate the customer's environment and show how NetApp's portfolio fits their journey. The role covers account development and account strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and drive opportunities in new and existing customers with client executives, increasing NetApp revenue and share of wallet in aligned accounts.
• Translate customer business needs into technical solutions using NetApp's portfolio, partnering with wider teams to build comprehensive solutions.
• Conduct demonstrations and lead POCs with SMEs as needed.
• Manage accounts, opportunities and pipeline with NetApp's sales tools in line with the client executive.
• Find growth opportunities beyond the current install base and deepen industry, solution and technical knowledge.
• Show strong understanding of business and technology strategy, change management and digital transformation.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Technical Sales, Presales or Solution Engineering, with large strategic customers across the Abu Dhabi territory.
• Fluent communicator with excellent presentation skills; able to give technical leadership in team-selling environments.
• Strong relationships with customers across the territory.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Hybrid Cloud, Data Management Infrastructure and Storage solutions.
• Cyber resilience and data protection, including backup, disaster recovery and ransomware mitigation.
• AI & Analytics, data-driven solutions and infrastructure planning for AI use cases.
• General application and database knowledge (Oracle, SQL, VDI).
• Video surveillance solutions and storage needs, including VMS and retention strategies for public safety, transport and smart cities.
