Senior Specialist, Economic Analysis

About the role

ADNOC is seeking a Senior Specialist in Economic Analysis to provide expert economic evaluation for its upstream investment portfolio. The role supports capital projects, mergers and acquisitions, farm‑in/farm‑out transactions and other strategic initiatives, ensuring value creation for the company and the Government.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct economic evaluations of upstream investment opportunities, including concessions, capital projects, M&A and farm‑in/farm‑out deals.
• Develop, review and maintain detailed economic models, financial forecasts and sensitivity analyses.
• Support the Upstream Investment Strategy with data‑driven insights for senior management.
• Prepare business cases and presentation materials for Investment Program Committee and Investment Committee.
• Collaborate with group companies and other directorates to standardise evaluation methodologies and reporting.
• Assess fiscal regimes, concession agreements and related legal documents to protect company and Government interests.
• Perform portfolio analysis and investment performance reviews to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Monitor macro‑economic, industry and market trends and integrate findings into recommendations.
• Produce position papers, reports and briefing notes for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in economic analysis, financial modelling or investment appraisal within the oil and gas sector.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and communication skills.
