Senior Specialist Technical Account Management

About the role

As an Enterprise Technical Account Manager at Checkout.com, you will be the technical heartbeat for our most strategic merchant relationships, acting as a payment performance consultant, incident commander, and trusted partner.

Key responsibilities

• Become an expert on merchants’ business, analyse payment data and drive initiatives to boost authorization rates and revenue.
• Serve as the primary technical authority, mastering API integrations, leading incident response, and managing technical projects such as migrations and product launches.
• Advocate for merchants internally, translating their needs into product roadmap insights and delivering training, workshops, and demos.

Required profile

• 4+ years in a senior client‑facing technical role (Technical Account Management, Solutions Consulting, or Sales Engineering) preferably in a SaaS or API‑first environment.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent experience, with strong communication skills for C‑level and engineering audiences.
• Problem‑solver attitude, comfortable handling high‑pressure technical incidents and navigating ambiguity.

Required skills

• Hands‑on expertise with RESTful APIs, including reading documentation and troubleshooting integrations.
• Understanding of the end‑to‑end payment lifecycle and concepts such as SCA, tokenization, MIT/CIT, AFT/OCT.
• Knowledge of MENA payment methods (Mada, NPG, KNET, Fawry, Benefit) is a plus; Arabic fluency advantageous.
