Senior Store Manager - Retail

About the role

The Senior Store Manager is responsible for the overall operational performance of the store, combining leadership with hands-on management. The role drives strategic decisions so the store meets its sales, customer service and operational goals, while keeping a high standard of performance, compliance with company policies and an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Sales and profit management: develop and run strategies to meet and exceed sales targets and profitability goals, monitor daily and weekly sales, adjust to demand and competitor activity, and use product placement, promotions and upselling to grow sales.
• Inventory management: keep stock efficient to avoid stock-outs and overstock.
• Team leadership: lead, motivate and coach the store team, recruit, train and onboard new members, conduct performance reviews and develop high-potential staff.
• Customer service: set a high standard, handle complaints promptly, keep the store welcoming and use customer feedback to improve service.
• Operations: oversee day-to-day operations including stock replenishment, cash handling and store maintenance, and ensure health and safety procedures are in place.
• Visual merchandising: keep displays clean and aligned with brand guidelines, and work with the VM team on seasonal trends, promotions and sales targets.
