Senior Structural Engineer

About the role

Wood Group is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its Production Support Team in Dubai. The role supports the Lead Structural Engineer in offshore topsides and sub‑structure analysis and design for DPE engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead conceptual, front‑end and detailed engineering design for offshore projects.
• Apply safety practices, design criteria and technical standards to ensure best‑practice delivery.
• Perform structural analysis and design in line with planning schedules and cost estimates.
• Participate in constructability surveys and reviews.
• Supervise and guide structural designers.
• Ensure compliance with DPE, national and international standards.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of offshore oil & gas structural engineering experience.
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised university.
• Pragmatic, self‑motivated, with strong initiative and ownership.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work organised, meet deadlines and present technical information.
