Senior Supervisor - Banquets

About the role

The Senior Supervisor – Banquets leads the banquet team to deliver high‑quality service, ensuring all guest requirements are met and standards are upheld. This role combines operational oversight, staff coordination, and direct guest interaction within a hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure staff work together as a cohesive team, inspect grooming and attire, and correct any deficiencies.
• Set up banquet areas, maintain cleanliness, and arrange furniture and equipment according to event specifications.
• Inspect table set‑ups for neatness, compliance with group requirements, and company standards, resolving any issues promptly.
• Document pertinent information in the department logbook and communicate with guests, other employees, and departments to meet guest needs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
• Enforce company safety, security, and uniform policies, reporting accidents or unsafe conditions as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related banquet supervisory experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience, demonstrating ability to lead a team.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb unaided and up to 75 lb with assistance, and navigate uneven surfaces.
• Capability to read and verify information in various formats, including small print.
