About the role
The Senior Technical Engineer will partner with Dnipro VC’s investment and portfolio teams to assess the technical merit of AI and cybersecurity startups. This part‑time remote position offers flexibility while requiring consistent communication across time zones.
Key responsibilities
- Review architecture designs, code bases, and infrastructure choices, providing recommendations on scalability, reliability, and security.
- Prepare technical assessments, participate in due‑diligence calls, and advise founders on complex engineering challenges.
Required profile
- Strong experience designing and implementing complex software systems, preferably in senior engineering, technical lead, or CTO‑level roles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of AI/ML model development, data pipelines, and deployment, combined with a solid background in cybersecurity principles.
Required skills
- AI or machine learning technologies
- Secure architecture design, threat modeling, and practical security controls
- Containerization and modern programming languages/frameworks
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD practices
