Senior Technician – Assembly

About the role

The Senior Technician will perform precision mechanical assembly of components and systems for advanced autonomous platforms. Working from engineering drawings and using hand and torque tools, the role ensures accurate fitting, testing, troubleshooting and quality control while coordinating with design and fabrication teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble precision parts, sub‑assemblies and complete systems to tight tolerances using hand tools, torque tools and alignment instruments.
• Lead and monitor team members, provide feedback, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and ISO standards.
• Conduct test fitting, adjustments and troubleshooting during prototyping and document all activities.
• Support integration and testing of mechanical systems with electrical or hydraulic components.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical assembly, with at least 2 years leading a team of technicians.
• Background in aerospace, defence or precision engineering, preferably with aircraft, drones or UAV systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read mechanical drawings and BOMs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, torque tools and alignment instruments.
• Use of measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers and gauges to verify dimensions and clearances.
• Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic and electromechanical systems.
• Ability to create and maintain assembly documentation, inspection records and feedback reports.
