Service Advisor

About the role

Al Tayer Group is hiring a Service Advisor in Sharjah. The role provides professional service to customers by accurately recording and organising repair and maintenance work, advising them on current and future maintenance needs and helping to improve customer retention and after-sales revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, discuss their servicing and repair needs and guide them on assessment and repair based on manufacturer recommendations, then record the requirements clearly on the job card.
• Explain the job's contents, value and cost; after confirmation, prepare clear work instructions for the technician and keep in close contact until the job is done.
• Organise an inspection after completion to confirm quality standards and customer satisfaction, then hand over the vehicle courteously.
• Follow up with existing and prospective customers on car performance and service needs, and keep them informed on back-order parts and work progress.
• Collect repair charges, LPOs and IPOs, and follow up on long-pending vehicles for delivery.
• Promote new accessories, service packages and additional services, and take part in service campaigns.
• Keep customers posted on Work In Progress, aiming to close within 30 days, and upgrade product knowledge through web-based and classroom training.

Required profile

• Vocational qualification in the automotive trade, or a Diploma in Automobile Engineering or a university degree.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in the automotive trade.
• Ability to build cordial relationships with customers and workshop staff.
