Site Stakeholder Engineer – Construction Supervision

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced Stakeholder Engineer to lead authority coordination and stakeholder management for major transportation and utility infrastructure projects during the construction phase in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder management and authority coordination activities for infrastructure and utilities projects at construction stage.
• Engage with Abu Dhabi authorities such as DMT, ITC, TAQA, EAD, ADNOC Distribution, Etisalat, du, Civil Defence and others to secure approvals, permits and inspections.
• Prepare and submit technical documents, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and commissioning documents for authority review.
• Coordinate utility diversion, protection, shutdown, tie‑in, testing, commissioning and asset handover with relevant service providers.
• Track stakeholder commitments, approvals, constraints and project risks, and produce management plans, approval matrices and status reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in stakeholder management, authority coordination and utility interface management for large infrastructure projects.
• At least 5 years of construction supervision experience on Abu Dhabi projects.
• Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi authority procedures, permitting processes and utility coordination requirements.
• Experience with Tier‑1 or Tier‑2 engineering consultancy firms on transportation, road and utility projects.
