Social Media Specialist

About the role

The Social Media Specialist reports to the Chief of Creative and Media Production and manages content calendars, approved publishing, community engagement and performance reporting across assigned accounts. The role links creative production with channel execution and campaign objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop channel plans and editorial calendars aligned with client and campaign goals.
• Write and adapt Arabic and English captions, campaign copy and community responses.
• Brief creative colleagues, coordinate content delivery, review and approval.
• Schedule and publish approved content and verify its accuracy after publication.
• Monitor comments and messages, respond within agreed standards and escalate sensitive issues.
• Track brand mentions, campaign narratives and emerging reputational concerns.
• Report on engagement, retention, traffic and leads, turning findings into practical improvements.
• Coordinate approved paid-social, creator and product-promotion activities.
• Maintain secure account access, approval records and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Fluency in Arabic and English, with strong social copywriting and community-response skills.
• Ability to build actionable content calendars and interpret basic campaign analytics.
• Strong editorial accuracy, organisation and cultural awareness of UAE and wider Arab audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines and approval workflows.
• Proactive, adaptable approach with sound judgement and ownership.
