Software Engineering Intern – AI & Data Solutions

About the role

Join Siemens Energy's Gas Services Middle East EHS team as a Software Engineering Intern, where you will turn ambiguous real‑world problems into digital solutions using AI and data analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype and deliver AI‑powered applications for EHS use cases, from concept through testing, deployment and user adoption.
• Prepare, clean and integrate EHS data from multiple sources, creating dashboards and visualisations in Power BI.
• Partner with EHS specialists and business stakeholders to translate workflow pain points into working prototypes.
• Support solution adoption through demos, training sessions, user guides and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or related field.
• Hands‑on programming experience in Python, JavaScript or similar, with familiarity building web applications and integrating REST APIs, JSON and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Practical exposure to generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering and retrieval‑augmented generation through coursework or projects.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
