Specialist Civil Engineer

About the role

The Specialist Civil Engineer will ensure technical assurance and compliance of the Contractor with Worley’s discipline scope, specifications, codes and industry best practices. This role supports procurement, construction, commissioning and hand‑over activities on large‑scale oil & gas or petrochemical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve discipline‑related documentation, including Class 1 documents and vendor deliverables.
• Participate in progress meetings, design review sessions and technical workshops with contractors, vendors and owners.
• Support procurement activities, vendor document reviews and physical inspections as required.
• Assist construction and commissioning through inspections, punch‑listing and certification release (DAC/MC).
• Verify final documentation and database completeness at hand‑over.
• Champion project safety culture and ensure quality procedures are implemented.
• Coordinate interface activities between EPC/FEED contractors, the owner and third parties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry, with at least 5 years in a similar senior role.
• Proven experience on mega‑scale EPC/FEED projects, preferably with ADNOC, offshore, PMC and offshore (PMCs) environments.
