Specialist Consultant Neurosurgeon – Government Facility

About the role

A leading government healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Neurosurgeon to join its specialist surgical team. The role involves diagnosing and managing complex neurological conditions that require surgical intervention.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients with complex brain, spinal and peripheral nerve conditions.
• Perform neurosurgical procedures for brain and spinal disorders, including emergencies such as traumatic brain injury and spinal trauma.
• Evaluate and manage brain and spinal tumors, hydrocephalus and other surgically treatable neurological conditions.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI) and provide comprehensive pre‑operative, post‑operative and long‑term follow‑up care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neurologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists and rehabilitation specialists.

Required profile

• Recognized medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) and postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery.
• Western board certification preferred (e.g., UK CCT/CCST, US Board, Canadian Board, Australian Board, South African Board).
• Relevant post‑specialisation experience appropriate to a Specialist/Consultant position.
• Strong surgical judgment, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills
