Specialist Educator

About the role

SEHA, the largest healthcare network in the UAE, is hiring a Specialist Educator for its Sheikh Khalifa Medical City campus in Abu Dhabi. The role supports students' academic work and personal development through guidance, counselling and coordination with teachers and parents.

Key responsibilities

• Guide students in completing homework and assignments, help them understand curriculum requirements and study methods, and develop structured study plans for those needing extra support
• Monitor academic progress and recommend interventions when needed
• Provide age-appropriate counselling to children and teenagers, addressing behavioural, emotional or learning concerns and supporting discipline, responsibility and self-management
• Refer complex cases to senior leadership or external specialists when needed
• Coordinate with teachers on student issues, take part in parent meetings and give feedback on progress
• Maintain structured reports and documentation, support school-wide student support initiatives and take part in academic planning and improvement programmes
• Ensure compliance with school policies and regulatory requirements and keep student and family information confidential

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, counselling or a related field
• 4-6 years of experience working with children and teenagers in schools or educational settings
