Specialist Family Medicine

About the role

HealthPlus Family Health Center is seeking an experienced Specialist in Family Medicine to deliver comprehensive, patient‑centred primary care across a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions for patients of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow‑up for acute and chronic conditions, including respiratory, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, endocrine and musculoskeletal presentations.
• Manage long‑term diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidaemia, delivering preventive care, health screenings, vaccination counselling and lifestyle guidance.
• Develop individualized treatment and follow‑up plans in line with evidence‑based clinical practice and coordinate care with consultants and allied health professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensure compliance with governance and patient safety standards, and participate in quality improvement and continuous professional development activities.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognised institution and recognised postgraduate qualification or board certification in Family Medicine.
• Eligibility for, or holding, the appropriate professional licence to practise as a Specialist in Family Medicine in Abu Dhabi.
• Relevant post‑specialisation clinical experience in Family Medicine or primary care, with strong competence in managing acute presentations, chronic diseases and preventive healthcare.
• Excellent clinical judgement, communication and interpersonal skills with a patient‑centred approach.
