Specialist Gastroenterologist

About the role

Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Gastroenterologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care for patients with gastrointestinal, pancreatic, liver, and biliary disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal, hepatic, pancreatic and biliary diseases.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical guidelines and ensure continuity of care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as surgeons, radiologists, oncologists and dietitians.

Required profile

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) and recognized residency in Internal Medicine followed by Gastroenterology training.
• Board certification (Arab, Saudi, UK CCT, European, American, etc.) and eligibility for a DOH licence in Abu Dhabi.
• 3‑5 years post‑specialty experience in a reputable hospital.
• Strong clinical expertise in managing gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic and biliary disorders.
