Specialist Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Almosafer is seeking a Specialist QA Backend Engineer to join its Dubai team. The role focuses on API testing and automation, leveraging both traditional tools and AI‑assisted solutions to ensure high‑quality software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scenarios for backend/API testing using Java and REST Assured.
• Perform API testing with Postman and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize AI‑assisted tools for test case generation, test data creation, and defect analysis.
• Participate in sprint planning, create detailed test plans, and convert manual regression cases to automated tests.
• Validate API contracts, authentication, authorization, data integrity, and conduct functional, integration, regression, performance, and non‑functional testing.

Required profile

• 4+ years of solid Software Testing/QA experience with strong backend/API focus.
• Proficiency in Java and REST Assured for API automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Postman, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON/XML, and authentication mechanisms.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in an Agile SCRUM environment.
