Specialist Reproductive Endocrinology / Infertility (IVF)

About the role

The Specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (IVF) will provide expert clinical care for patients undergoing assisted reproductive treatments. Working under the supervision of a Consultant Physician, the role involves direct patient management, supervision of junior staff, and participation in multidisciplinary teams within Tawam Hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients according to best‑practice standards in reproductive medicine.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, sharing responsibility for patient care.
• Lead ward rounds, reassess in‑patients and out‑patients regularly, and document clinical information promptly.
• Review investigation results, adjust treatment plans, and ensure informed consent for all procedures.
• Collaborate with other specialties and support services, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
• Provide on‑call coverage on a rotational basis, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Support departmental initiatives, performance management, and incident reporting.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Reproductive Medicine.
• Fellowship or additional certification in Reproductive Medicine.
• Minimum of 5 years post‑specialization clinical experience.
• Eligibility under SEHA qualifications (Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3).

• Expertise in IVF and assisted reproductive technologies.
• Strong clinical documentation and patient‑record management.
• Ability to supervise and train junior medical staff.
