Specialist Rheumatologist

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is looking for an experienced Specialist Rheumatologist to work on site. The specialist diagnoses and manages autoimmune, inflammatory and musculoskeletal disorders, providing comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic rheumatological conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout and ankylosing spondylitis
• Evaluate patients with joint pain, inflammation and autoimmune disorders
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and long-term disease monitoring
• Interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies and other diagnostic investigations
• Manage complex autoimmune and inflammatory conditions and monitor treatment response
• Collaborate with orthopaedic specialists, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients on disease management, lifestyle changes and adherence to treatment
• Maintain accurate medical records

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• MD/DNB in General Medicine or equivalent, followed by DM/DNB or equivalent specialization in Rheumatology
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialization experience preferred
• Experience managing autoimmune and inflammatory rheumatological conditions
• Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making and patient communication skills
