Specialist, Technology (Mechanical)

About the role

Support the development, evaluation, deployment, and optimisation of drilling and well‑related technologies to improve safety, efficiency and cost performance across ADNOC Drilling operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and select drilling and well construction technologies.
• Participate in pilots, trials and proof‑of‑concept activities in operational environments.
• Deploy, test and optimise approved technologies on rigs and projects.
• Provide technical support to drilling and operations teams during implementation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor technology performance, collect operational data and report benefits.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, OEMs, service companies and vendors.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures and best practices.
• Support training, knowledge transfer and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation or related).
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in drilling, well construction or upstream technology roles.
• Hands‑on experience supporting operational environments is preferred.
• Exposure to drilling technologies, digital tools, automation or advanced analytics is an advantage.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
