About the role

The Senior Manager Retail Design Architect for Emerging Markets will lead the creative and design direction of adidas retail environments across the region. This role ensures every consumer touchpoint delivers a distinctive, inspiring, and consistent brand experience while translating global concepts into locally relevant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as one of the Design Leads for Emerging Markets, providing creative leadership and design direction across strategic and rollout projects.
• Lead the end‑to‑end design journey from briefing and concept development through design approval, execution, and store opening.
• Support Cluster Store Development teams during execution, adapting designs to site conditions to deliver optimal retail experiences.
• Conduct design discussions with Country Leads and key stakeholders, articulating design rationale and influencing timely approvals.
• Translate global retail concepts into innovative, commercially effective solutions while protecting the adidas brand identity.
• Collaborate closely with Global Retail Design, Brand, Commercial, Real Estate, and Store Development teams.
• Challenge existing approaches, explore new ideas, and create solutions that respond to evolving consumer expectations and market needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in retail design or architecture (120 months).
• Proven leadership ability to inspire and guide multidisciplinary design teams.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance creativity and business objectives.
• Excellent communication skills to influence senior stakeholders and secure design approvals.
• Deep understanding of retail design processes, material specifications, and execution standards.
