Staff Engineer, Front-End – Account Experience

About the role

We are seeking a Staff Engineer, Front‑End to lead the architecture of a data‑rich merchant platform that powers global payments. Based in the United Arab Emirates and working in a remote‑first environment, you will shape how merchants interact with critical account workflows from onboarding to daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve front‑end architecture across multiple Account Experience teams, ensuring scalability and high performance.
• Own architecture decisions for state management, performance optimization, and system design of a complex web platform.
• Build and maintain shared foundations such as component libraries, design systems, and reusable patterns.
• Shape merchant‑facing experiences, including emerging AI‑driven interfaces and conversational workflows.
• Lead and mentor engineers through design reviews, code contributions, and technical guidance.
• Champion best practices in accessibility, performance, observability, and reliability.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and backend teams to align technical and product trade‑offs.

Required profile

• Proven senior or staff‑level front‑end expertise influencing architecture across multiple teams.
• Strong technical judgment and a track record of elevating engineering standards.
• Experience operating at Staff or Principal Engineer level in large‑scale applications.
• Deep understanding of front‑end architecture, state management, performance optimization, and component system design.
