Staff Nurse – Medical

About the role

The Staff Nurse – Medical provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care within Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Mohammad Medical City. The role involves comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care in line with organizational policies and SEHA guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor patient conditions, initiate appropriate interventions and escalate care when needed.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation and efficient use of the Malaffi health‑information system.
• Administer medications safely, adhering to the seven rights, high‑risk medication and narcotics policies.
• Participate in discharge planning, referrals and patient advocacy to protect patient rights and dignity.
• Identify significant changes in patient status using early warning scoring tools and report to supervisors or physicians.
• Respond to emergencies, contribute to organizational development initiatives and uphold SEHA core values.

Required profile

• Registered nurse qualified to practice within the scope of competence.
• Commitment to health‑ and safety regulations, accurate documentation and reporting of medication errors or adverse events.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and promote service excellence.
• Accountability for own practice and willingness to engage in continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Malaffi health‑information exchange system.
• Familiarity with early warning scoring tools for patient deterioration.
