Staff Nurse – Operating Room

About the role

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking experienced operating‑room nurses to join its peri‑operative services team. The role involves delivering direct and indirect patient care in transplant, cardiac and neuro surgical suites, applying evidence‑based practices for patients of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Complete timely patient admissions, assessments, and updates to individualized care plans.
• Provide direct, family‑centered care and monitor patient conditions, documenting outcomes and interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to approved protocols, using barcode scanning for verification.
• Educate patients and families, addressing cultural and special needs, and confirm understanding of teaching.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, delegate appropriate tasks, and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Report errors, near‑misses, and participate in evidence‑based practice improvement.
• Capture charges in Epic within 24 business hours when not auto‑captured.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Minimum two years post‑graduate experience in a General Surgery/Operating Room setting.
• Valid national nursing license.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent) and ACLS/PALS certifications relevant to the specialty.
