Steel Fixer

About the role

A Steel Fixer position in Dubai, UAE within the construction industry. The role involves reading construction drawings and fixing reinforcement steel according to specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Read and understand basic construction drawings and reinforcement layouts.
• Cut, bend and fix reinforcement steel bars as per specifications.
• Install and tie reinforcement bars for columns, beams, slabs, foundations and other structures.
• Ensure proper spacing, alignment and positioning of reinforcement steel.
• Use hand tools and equipment safely for cutting, bending and tying steel.
• Check reinforcement work before concrete pouring.
• Coordinate with supervisors, carpenters, masons and other site workers.
• Follow all site safety rules and construction procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience as a Steel Fixer.
• Experience on building/construction projects preferred.
• Physically fit and able to work at construction sites.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of reinforcement steel fixing, bar bending and tying.
• Ability to understand basic construction drawings.
