Steel Trading Manager

About the role

A Steel Trading Manager is sought in Dubai to build and maintain strong customer relationships, drive sales of steel products and lead procurement and business development in the steel sector. The role requires deep knowledge of the UAE and GCC steel markets.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and keep an up-to-date customer database.
• Achieve sales targets in both volume and revenue.
• Sell steel products, including mother coils, to electronic manufacturers such as fridge and air conditioner makers.
• Lead procurement and business development initiatives within the steel sector.
• Provide market insights to leadership on competitive offerings, customer needs and product opportunities.
• Stay updated on market trends, product developments and competitor activity.
• Develop and implement strategies to expand the customer base and strengthen market presence.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the steel trade or manufacturing industry, specializing in procurement or business development.
• Proven track record in managing customer relationships and achieving sales targets.
• Prior experience with steel trading companies in Korea, Japan, China or other Asian markets is highly preferred.
• Strong industry connections in KSA, the UAE and the wider GCC.

Required skills

• Expertise in selling steel products and mother coils to electronic manufacturers.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Strong market knowledge, including industry trends and competitor strategies.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
