Steward – Hotel Kitchen Operations

About the role

The Steward is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment at a luxury hotel in Dubai. This full‑time position supports the food and beverage team by ensuring all equipment, utensils, and work areas are properly cleaned, sanitized, and organized.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect, and store kitchen tools, knives, silverware, and other equipment using detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly, rotate stock, and ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas.
• Inspect, pull, stack, and re‑wash items as needed; break down dirty bus tubs and manage trash and recycling.
• Clean and mop all assigned department areas, dispose of glass and cardboard properly, and maintain dumpster areas.
• Follow company safety policies, report maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Communicate clearly with team members, support positive working relationships, and help achieve quality standards.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No prior related work experience necessary.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach overhead for extended periods.
• Willingness to follow procedures, maintain cleanliness, and adhere to safety guidelines.
