Stewarding Supervisor – Kitchen & Dining Team Lead

About the role

The Stewarding Supervisor leads the stewarding team responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and dining areas. This position ensures that all equipment, utensils, and workspaces are spotless, organized, and ready for service.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate the stewarding team on a daily basis.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces.
• Monitor and control inventory of kitchen and dining equipment.
• Coordinate cleaning, polishing, and storage of silverware, glassware, and chinaware.
• Train staff on proper cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Enforce hygiene and sanitation standards in all food preparation and service areas.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with staffing schedules, performance management, and recruitment.
• Track stewarding budgets, expenses, and inventory costs.
• Collaborate with culinary teams to guarantee availability of clean, sanitized equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising a stewarding or housekeeping team in a hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and health‑safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational and inventory‑management abilities.
• Leadership skills with the ability to train and develop staff.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
