Store Keeper - Parts Store

About the role

Al Tayer Group is looking for a Store Keeper in Sharjah to coordinate parts procurement from ordering through to stocking in the store, ensuring smooth movement of parts stock from port to store to point of sale. The role covers receiving consignments, maintaining accurate stock records, managing equipment and keeping the premises safe.

Key responsibilities

• Keep physical stock in line with book balances at all times.
• Receive air and sea consignments from principals (or CPD / IBT) and check the correctness of parts.
• Ensure timely binning of parts in the correct location, assign new bin locations for first-time receipts and maintain secondary locations for high-volume parts.
• Update stock for new consignments and generate SRV, and generate claims for shortages and damages and follow up their settlement.
• Inspect and authorise sales returns, scrap parts after approval, and schedule and maintain the store's vehicle fleet, forklifts and other equipment.
• Ensure timely deliveries to fleet and credit customers, maintain service level data and principal receipts, and submit monthly data to Finance.
• Carry out a perpetual inventory once every fortnight and verify physical stock.
• Follow safety, security and housekeeping measures to keep the premises safe.

Required profile

• High or intermediate school qualification.
• Either 5 years of experience in stores, or a tertiary qualification in stores or inventory management with 3 years of experience.
