Structural Analysis Engineer II

About the role

The Structural Analysis Engineer will lead stress and vibration analysis of gas turbine components for turbojet and turbofan programs, ensuring safety, operability, and performance across design conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise gas turbine systems for life, weight, manufacturability and cost.
• Perform thermo‑mechanical simulations, creep, fatigue, fracture, vibration and rotodynamic analyses.
• Conduct Stress, Low Cycle Fatigue, High Cycle Fatigue, and FMECA assessments.
• Support FEA methodology development and mentor junior engineers.
• Review designs, prepare engineering reports and testing guidelines, and identify project risks.

Required profile

• Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering degree.
• 5‑15+ years of experience in gas turbine propulsion, mechanical design and heat transfer.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics of materials and whole‑engine structural analysis.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with design packages such as SolidWorks or Siemens NX.
• Expertise in commercial FEA software (ANSYS, HyperWorks, Simcenter Nastran).
• Programming experience in C and Matlab/Simulink.
