Structural Designer - Tekla Structures (Oil & Gas)

About the role

Burjline Builders is looking for a Structural Designer with at least 3 years of experience in structural steel detailing and 3D modelling within the Oil & Gas industry; offshore project experience is highly preferred. The successful candidate will independently develop accurate structural models, fabrication drawings and material take-offs in line with project specifications.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel modelling and detailing for Oil & Gas projects.
• Experience modelling pipe racks, equipment platforms, access platforms, stairways, ladders, handrails, gratings and offshore steel structures.
• Ability to interpret structural calculation reports and engineering design drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, drawing accuracy and fabrication feasibility.

Required skills

• Advanced Tekla Structures: 3D modelling, connection detailing and drawing generation.
• General Arrangement Drawings (GAD), fabrication, assembly and erection drawings.
• Steel connections, bolted and welded joints, base plates, stiffeners and detailing requirements.
• Familiarity with ADNOC specifications, AISC standards, ASTM materials and fabrication requirements.
• Bills of Materials (BOM), Material Take-Offs (MTO) and cutting lists.
• Clash detection and coordination with piping and mechanical teams.
• AutoCAD knowledge.
