Structural Inspector – Infrastructure & Bridges

About the role

The Structural Inspector will conduct on‑site inspections of bridge and tunnel works in Dubai, ensuring that all construction activities comply with contract documents, approved drawings, project specifications, and local and international codes. Working closely with the Structural Engineer and ARE, the role safeguards quality, safety, and contractual compliance across the full structural scope.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect pile foundations, bored piles, barrettes, and pile caps; witness PIT and CSL integrity tests and load testing.
• Verify reinforcement placement, cover, lap lengths, and couplers in sub‑structure elements.
• Monitor formwork stability, approve concrete pours, and conduct slump, temperature, and sampling tests.
• Inspect precast girders, post‑tensioning operations, bearing installations, deck slab pours, waterproofing, expansion joints, and related bridge components.
• Oversee tunnel excavation, primary support systems, TBM segment delivery, shotcrete application, rock bolt installation, and secondary lining works.
• Validate waterproofing membrane installation, vacuum/spark testing, and construction joint sealing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in structural inspection of bridges, tunnels or related infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts, RTA/Dubai Municipality standards, and international codes (ACI, AASHTO LRFD, BS, Eurocodes, ITA).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection reports.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
